BNI Lake Business Builders-LOZ achieves "Chapter of Excellence" status for month of January

Congratulations to BNI Lake Business Builders-LOZ for achieving "Chapter of Excellence" status for the month of January!! Chapter of Excellence is our way of recognizing the #1 chapter out of the 100+ chapters in our franchise for any particular month- an area that is Missouri, Arkansas,Southern Illinois and SE Kansas. Every month we track the progress of our chapters in regards to comparable statistics. This is an excellent way for chapters not only to scale their efforts based on other chapters, but also to see what is possible as a chapter.

BNI Podcast: Can't do....or won't do by Dr. Ivan Misner

How do you determine if a member of your chapter is a "Can't" or "Won't"?  In this podcast, Dr. Ivan Misner explores some of the ways a chapter and chapter leadership team can determine which one and how to coach members who are having "challenges" in regards to performance.

Podcast Synopsis:

If you’re part of the leadership team and a member isn’t participating in some way, approach them and say “How can we help you (give more referrals, bring in visitors, etc.)?” The person will respond with either a “can’t do” or a “won’t do” answer.

“Can’t do” answers come from people who want to participate, but don’t know how. The solution is to educate them.

“Won’t do” answers come from people who don’t want to participate. They want to receive referrals, but not to give them. Give these people the opportunity to step down.
If they want to stay because they’re getting referrals, then insist that they contribute.
